Is Begging right or wrong?
In my views its acceptable only if people who cannot work or are physocally challenged do it. Any person who has adopted this profession with an view to make money for their living, though he/she can make money by doing a job in that case it is not at all acceptable.
In my view, Its the over population crisis which is leading people to restore to begging. With insufficient jobs, people have to rely on begging antics to feed themselves, a policy which should be an agenda for the Govt. to take care of. I think it should be discouraged as its making people redundant and its a menacing problem for everyone else
Reen your thoughts are really worth praising and let's hope for a better future. Government surely needs to do something about this issue. Beggars are there in almost all the countries but they don't make it a profession like the beggars in India. They create fake situations and force people mentally to give money which is indeed very bad.So my concern is mainly to tell people that what they see is not always what they think it is. we need to have new vision to look at this aspect so that we can become a better society.
There is a difference between begging in desperation and begging for convenience. The latter (which has become the case in the majority of the incidences) needs to be discouraged. What we need is for the government to set up institutions which will work towards helping these people gain some skill which will make them self dependent and help them get a job.
The reason for people being encouraged to beg is because it support them in doing so. The networking and willingness for begging has become a great challenge for eliminating it from the picture.
Gursheen your views are very realistic but the thing is that even if the government is ready to help the beggars are they ready to take that help?. This is a very serious issue because some beggars just don't want to change theirself. they really don't care about a better future, all they look at is short term gains. they think this is the most easy way out to make money. So what i would suggest is lets start it at our own level and leave the rest on the government. Thanks for sharing your views.
